Diogo Feleciano, PhD
Diogo always had a great interest in understanding aging and age-related diseases. He believes that drugs targeting age-associated diseases have the potential to completely change the way we age. At Apollo, he aims to use his scientific knowledge and business-driven mind to support the development of disrupting therapeutics for diseases of aging.
Before joining Apollo, Diogo did his PhD at Leibniz Institute FMP Berlin, where he unraveled the interplay of proteostasis mechanisms during aging and neurodegeneration. Early on, he completed his Biochemistry degree at the University of Coimbra, then was awarded a Leonardo Da Vinci fellowship and moved to Imperial College London. There, his research was focused on pathways that are involved in genetic and age-related ocular diseases.
